Health, Wellbeing, and Community Care for Those Who Served
Veterans have given years of dedicated service to Jamaica. As they age, many now face health, financial, and social challenges that require continued support. This page outlines the realities facing Jamaican veterans and how individuals, organisations, and communities can work together to ensure they are treated with dignity and respect.

They Served Us, Now It's Our Turn
Our Veterans put everything on the line to protect our freedom. We may never be able to repay them for their sacrifice, but we can show them just how much we appreciate everything they’ve done for us.
JDF Department of Veterans Affairs
The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) exists to ensure that those who have served are supported after service.
The DVA provides assistance with the transition to civilian life, access to health and wellbeing initiatives, opportunities for skills training and employment, and ongoing welfare and community support through the Jamaica National Reserve. Remembrance activities, including the Poppy Appeal, help sustain care for veterans in need.
Veterans are encouraged to contact the JDF or the Department of Veterans Affairs for further support.
